Vicks Pacifier Thermometer

We bought this when I was pregnant with our first child (back in 2012). The concept seemed very appealing, since holding a thermometer under a baby arm or in a baby bum was not appealing.
We ran across some issues when using the thermometer
Our baby hated the shape of the nipple, therefore even trying to get him to take it was a struggle and rather difficult.
If we did manage to get our baby to take it, the thermometer seemed to take too long to take a reading (not sure of the exact time it needed, just too long for us).
There are some ways to make this concept work better...
For starters offering different shaped nipples would be great, since not all babies are willing to take any shape. If they offered different shapes in the nipples it would be easier to get a reading even if it take some time since baby wouldn't be trying to immediately spit the pacifier out.
Realistically though, having the temperature reading be quicker would be amazing as well, and making it is accurate. The few times we did get a reading it seemed very inaccurate (although that could be from my child hating the nipple and trying to spit it out).
